Work Permit & Technical Safety Coordinator | Site Infrastructure

 

Job Description

A technical site organisation is seeking a Work Permit & Technical Safety Coordinator to ensure the technical continuity, safety, and efficiency of office buildings, site infrastructure, and (fire) security systems.

In this role, you are responsible for safeguarding installations, coordinating technicians and external vendors, issuing and managing work permits, handling malfunction reporting, and ensuring strict compliance with procedures, HSEQ standards, and quality levels. You work closely with Maintenance, the GK team, and operational departments to prioritise, plan, and safely execute both planned and unplanned technical activities.

You play a key role in risk assessment, Management of Change (MoC), SAP notification management, cost control, and small project leadership while maintaining a strong presence in the field to ensure safe execution of works.

 

Essential Requirements

· Experience coordinating technical works within buildings, site infrastructure, and safety/security systems

· Proven experience issuing and managing comprehensive work permit packages (including LoToTo, TRA, PSSR, flushing plans, bypass plans, safety plans)

· Ability to assess environmental and process risks using P&IDs and on-site inspections

· Experience performing gas and oxygen measurements and releasing confined spaces

· Strong understanding of HSEQ standards, procedures, and reporting

· Experience participating in root cause analyses and implementing corrective and preventive actions

· Experience initiating and implementing Management of Change (MoC) processes

· Experience creating, analysing, and managing SAP notifications and work orders

· Ability to prioritise maintenance activities in coordination with maintenance teams and GK teams

· Experience monitoring legal work orders and ensuring timely execution

· Strong communication skills with technicians, maintenance, and operational stakeholders

· Ability to work independently in a safety-critical, operational environment

· Voldoende onderricht persoon (VOP) certification

Preferred Requirements

· Experience acting as project lead for small technical projects (<50K)

· Experience supporting larger IP and CAPEX projects

· Experience with procurement of services and goods via Ariba and SAP PM

· Ability to draft and improve clear procedures and technical instructions

· Experience analysing costs and proposing cost-saving initiatives

· Ability to replace Work Permit Coordinators during absence

· Strong housekeeping mindset and proactive HSEQ behaviour

 

Practicalities

Start Date: ASAP

Location: On-site (office buildings and site infrastructure)

Contract Type: 32 hours

Team: Works closely with Maintenance, GK team, technicians, and vendors

Scope: Site-wide responsibility for technical safety, infrastructure continuity, and work permit governance
