Senior Project Planner – Operational Readiness | Visp, Switzerland – 1 Year Contract (Potential Extensions)
Job Description
A global life sciences organisation is expanding its facilities and requires an experienced Planner to support major capital projects. You will work within the Operational Readiness function, collaborating closely with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure smooth and timely project execution.
In this role, you will establish, maintain, and manage the Operational Readiness Plan (ORP) for all operational activities. You will integrate project schedules across workstreams, track progress, facilitate planning sessions, and ensure full alignment with CAPEX project timelines.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field
· 10+ years’ experience in planning/scheduling for large CAPEX projects (>20M CHF)
· 4+ years’ experience in Operational Start-up within the pharmaceutical industry
· Full autonomy and hands-on expertise with Primavera P6 (mandatory)
· Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
· Strong understanding of GMP manufacturing and pharma operations
· Ability to develop, monitor, and update integrated project plans and ORP schedules
· Experience facilitating planning meetings and cross-functional workshops
· Strong analytical skills, including working with large/complex datasets
· Proven ability to perform schedule progress reporting, schedule analysis, and resource (labor) loading
· Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
Preferred Requirements
· German language skills (advantageous)
· Experience with project management tools for cost controlling
· Background in pharma-related CAPEX and operational readiness environments
· Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
· Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
· Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and fast-paced environments

Contract Duration: 1 year (with potential extensions)
Location: Visp, Switzerland
