Senior Manager, Digital Marketing – Licensing | Global Role
Job Description
A global life sciences organisation is seeking a Senior Manager, Digital Marketing – Licensing to lead digital campaign planning, execution, and optimisation for the Licensing business. The role is responsible for delivering integrated digital marketing initiatives across channels in close collaboration with commercial and scientific stakeholders, with a strong focus on lead generation and performance optimisation.
You will translate business priorities into digital campaigns, manage day-to-day execution, oversee digital performance, and ensure effective use of data, tools, and content across channels. The role also includes website ownership for the Licensing area on lonza.com, email marketing programmes, event support, and close alignment with CRM and marketing operations to ensure performance tracking and lead management.
This is a hands-on execution role in a B2B life sciences environment, requiring strong stakeholder management, analytical capability, and the ability to deliver high-quality digital marketing output in a fast-paced setting.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Communications, Life Sciences, or related field
· 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing
· Proven experience delivering integrated digital marketing programmes with measurable business impact
· Strong expertise across SEO/AEO/SEM, content marketing, email/marketing automation, web analytics, and campaign management
· Hands-on experience with marketing technology platforms (e.g., Marketo or equivalent MAPs; Salesforce or equivalent CRM; Google Analytics 4)
· Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail, timelines, and stakeholder communication
· Experience working in B2B or complex technical/scientific environments
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
· Business fluent English
Preferred Requirements
· Experience in life sciences, biopharma, biotech, or CDMO/CRO environments
· Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Sitecore, Drupal, WordPress)
· Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Looker, Tableau)
· Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM compliant marketing practices
· Experience working with external agencies
· Experience marketing complex, consultative products or services with long sales cycles
· Degree or professional qualification in marketing, digital, or life sciences
