Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Delivery CHI | Global Role
Job Description
A global life sciences organisation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Total Rewards & HR Delivery CHI to drive, enable, and consult on the CHI Total Rewards Strategy worldwide. This leadership position requires deep expertise in compensation & benefits, strong strategic capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex international matrix.
In this role, you will partner closely with the Heads of HR CHI, global CHI leadership teams, and HRBPs to ensure alignment between Total Rewards strategies, business objectives, and organisational culture. You will lead the execution of Total Rewards initiatives across a global population of 3,500+ employees, manage two direct reports, and serve as a key member of the CHI HRLT.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
· Preferred fields: HR, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Tax
· 15+ years’ experience in Total Rewards, Benefits, Retirement, or broader HR, ideally gained in both consulting/project-driven environments and multinational in-house settings
· Demonstrated depth of experience in global Total Rewards, project management, and HR systems
· Proven experience leading rewards and annual compensation benchmarking processes
· Experience working independently with minimal instruction and delivering in fast-paced, service-oriented environments
· Strong expertise in compensation & benefits principles, global market trends, and global governance frameworks
· Ability to lead total reward strategy execution across large, international workforces (3,500+ employees)
· Experience supporting compensation-related activities in mergers, acquisitions, and organisational changes
· Strong understanding of compensation regulations and compliance across multiple regions
· Expert analytical capabilities, including proficiency with MS Excel; skilled in reporting, presenting, and facilitation
· Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information
· Ability to work effectively through ambiguity, navigate complex reporting lines, and interact within matrixed structures
· Advanced professional English
Preferred Requirements
· Experience redesigning US benefit systems, including integration with payroll/vendors
· Prior experience gained in a fast-growing multinational company or large consulting organisation
· Strong customer service orientation with the ability to balance business needs and stakeholder expectations
· Excellent conceptual skills with the ability to package complex topics into clear, well-structured presentations (PowerPoint)
· Global/international mindset and strong network management skills
· Commercial and strategic thinking with a forward-looking, innovative analytical mindset
· Proven project execution experience in cross-functional and international environments
· Strong work ethic, resilience, time management, and a positive attitude
· Ability to build authentic, trusting relationships and serve as a senior advisor to leadership
· Experience managing diverse teams and supporting talent development
· Ability to embed pay-for-performance culture and drive pay transparency initiatives
