Operational Excellence & RCPS Consultant

A pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Belgium is looking for 2 consultants to support Sterile and Packaging operations on a long-term assignment of at least 6 months, likely through the end of the year.

This role focuses on root cause problem solving (RCPS) for complex quality and operational issues. The consultants will work across functions including Operations, MSAT, Engineering, and QA, coaching teams to identify the real root cause, challenge weak CAPAs, and strengthen on-the-job problem-solving capability.

What you’ll do

• Moderate and coach root cause investigations for complex issues.

• Challenge and strengthen complex CAPAs in a constructive, objective way.

• Work directly with cross-functional teams during NC/CAPA discussions.

• Spend time on the shop floor to understand the real problem, not just the paperwork.

• Join relevant tier meetings linked to CAPA and investigation follow-up.

• Help build sustainable RCPS capability within the business.

What’s out of scope

This role is not focused on writing deviations, owning the investigation, completing risk assessments, or doing process review/document authoring. Ownership of the CAPA plan and root cause remains with the internal investigation owner and QA.

What we’re looking for

• Lean Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

• RCPS certification and hands-on experience with complex problem solving.

• At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical operations.

• Strong background in CAPA and process improvement.

• Excellent project management, coaching, and leadership skills.

• Fluent Dutch is essential.
