QC Analyst Microbiology | GMP Laboratory Testing
Job Description
A leading life sciences manufacturing organisation is seeking a QC Analyst - Microbiology to support ongoing microbiological testing activities within a GMP laboratory environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine microbiological testing including bioburden, endotoxin, water, and environmental testing, while applying strict aseptic techniques. You will work across a variety of methods and support multiple customers and projects simultaneously. The position operates on a rotating shift pattern, requiring flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure.
This role offers strong exposure to diverse testing methods, products, and a dynamic laboratory environment.
Essential Requirements
· Experience in microbiology laboratory testing within a GMP environment
· Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with aseptic techniques
· Proven laboratory experience in QC or microbiology
· Experience with bioburden and/or endotoxin testing
· Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts (including nights and weekends)
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple methods/projects
· Good documentation practices and attention to detail
· Fluent English/ German is a plus
Preferred Requirements
· Experience with cell culture techniques
· Experience working across multiple testing methods or projects
· Prior experience in a 24/7 shift-based laboratory environment
· Exposure to water testing, filtration, and environmental monitoring
· Experience working with different products, customers, or medicines
· Proactive, goal-oriented, and adaptable mindset
Practicalities
Start Date: ASAP (target 1 June)
Location: Visp, Switzerland
Work Model: Full onsite position (shift-based)
Contract Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
Working Hours: 41 hours per week (average)
Shift Pattern: Rotating early, late, and night shifts including weekends
