An established food manufacturing site is preparing for the introduction of a new UK retail customer and is seeking an experienced Interim QA Consultant to support this critical phase. Due to limited internal QA capacity, senior hands-on expertise is required to deliver a full theoretical gap analysis and steer the organisation towards audit readiness. This is a short-term, high-impact assignment with a clearly defined scope and timeline.
The focus of this role is primarily theoretical and analytical. You will be responsible for conducting a complete gap analysis against applicable food safety standards and additional UK retailer requirements (including DSC-related criteria).
A QA handbook and an initial gap analysis format are already in place, as well as a pre-audit report containing multiple action points. Your role is to bring structure, prioritisation and clarity, enabling the internal team to implement changes where required.
