The Procurement team is seeking a Capex Buyer to support the execution of capital expenditure activities within assigned projects and operational buying scopes. Working under the guidance of a Project Procurement Lead, you will focus on operational execution and supplier coordination to ensure seamless project delivery.
In this role, you will manage end-to-end operational buying: from requisition to purchase order close-out, while maintaining compliance with internal procurement processes. Your work will directly impact schedule adherence and cost tracking for vital engineering and technical work packages.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Initial experience in procurement, supply chain, or operational buying.
Proficiency in SAP for issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
Operational procurement execution, including RFQ support, bid comparison, and order confirmation tracking.
Fluent English and strong German skills for effective local stakeholder interaction.
Advanced experience specifically within CAPEX or technical/engineering environments.
Structured and detail-oriented approach to managing complex project documentation.
Exposure to GMP and EHS requirements within a regulated procurement setting.
Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate effectively with Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams.
A proactive learning mindset with a desire to develop strategic procurement capabilities.
Start Date: June 1st, 2026
Contract Duration: 9 months
Location: Visp (Minimum 3 days on-site per week)
Additional: This role focuses on execution; decision authority and strategy remain with the Lead Buyer.
