Microbiology Analyst

We are seeking a Microbiology Analyst to support the microbiological testing operations of water sample analysis and quality control in a full-time (32–40 hrs/week) position. Based onsite in the Netherlands, you’ll play a key role in ensuring ISO/IEC-17025 compliance and delivering reliable microbiological data while contributing to process efficiency and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a laboratory background who enjoys hands-on microbiological methods and working in a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Essential Requirements:

• A completed laboratory education at MBO or HBO-level

• Experience working under ISO/IEC 17025 based quality systems

• Familiarity with microbiological techniques such as membrane filtration, pour plate, spread plate, and MALDI TOF confirmation methods

• Ability to participate in weekend and evening shifts

• Analytical mindset and attention to detail

• Strong teamwork capability coupled with the ability to organise individual tasks

• Good social and communication skills

Desirable Requirements:

• Previous experience in microbiological water testing environments

• Hands-on sample volume management and analysis scheduling

• Knowledge of water quality standards and methods related to drinking water and industry

• Service-oriented mindset and willingness to support cross-functional lab teams
