Logistics Process Owner

About the Site

A leading biotherapeutics manufacturing site supporting global supply, operating cleanroom production, internal warehousing, and Kanban-based raw material replenishment in a highly regulated environment.

Role Summary

Own and optimize raw material supply processes from central warehouse to Kanban/supermarket locations in production cleanrooms. Drive lean improvements, ensure GMP compliance, and improve reliability, flow, and performance of internal logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and improve raw material logistics and replenishment processes

  • Design, implement, and control Kanban and supermarket systems

  • Develop, maintain, and review SOPs for material distribution

  • Define, track, and report logistics KPIs

  • Apply lean principles to improve flow and eliminate waste

  • Collaborate with warehouse, manufacturing, and planning teams

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

  • 5+ years experience in logistics/process improvement in regulated environments

  • Strong knowledge of GMP / GDP

  • Fluent in English

Essential Skills

  • Kanban design and control experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail and documentation accuracy

  • Excellent cross-functional communication

  • Proficient in Excel and standard logistics tools

Preferred

  • Lean or Six Sigma certification

  • Pharma / biotech manufacturing experience

  • Dutch language proficiency

Practical Details

  • Location: Leiden, The Netherlands

  • Work Model: Onsite preferred (minimum 3 days/week)

  • Contract: +6 months

  • Working Language: English

  • Start Date: ASAP
