Lead Expeditor

Job Description

A global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is seeking a Lead Expeditor to manage and coordinate expediting activities across assigned packages within the Project Procurement Plan (Web PMP). The role is focused on ensuring On Time Delivery (OTD) performance, maintaining accurate material and package reporting, and supporting overall supplier performance tracking against defined KPIs (On Time Delivery (OTD) / Timely Reporting / Internal Customer Feedback Score).

In this role, you will ensure all supplier Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) are received, followed up on when delayed, and shared with stakeholders on time. You will coordinate expediting interventions with third parties, communicate weekly expediting plans, and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensure all supplier Monthly Progress Reports (MPRs) are received and shared with stakeholders on time.
  • Coordinate expediting interventions with third parties.
  • Communicate weekly expediting plans.
  • Support order management by processing expediting-related invoices.
  • Deliver MIS reporting to provide visibility on performance and progress.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in data analytics and reporting.
  • Proven ability to prioritise work and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both in an office environment and on a construction site.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant job experience.
  • Fluent English.

 

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Previous CAPEX experience.

 

Practicalities

  • Start Date: 1 June 2026.
  • Location: Visp or Stein, Switzerland.
  • Contract Type: 1 year contract (possibility of extension).
  • Scope: Expediting activities across assigned packages.
  • Work Setup: 3 days on-site (Visp or Stein - depending on your preferred location), 2 days home office.
