For our client – a global pharmaceutical leader based in Basel, Switzerland – I am looking for a Laboratory Scientist – Bioanalytics to support their DPS Bio-Analytics team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to method implementation, potency testing, and data documentation for critical drug product development.
Key responsibilities:
Execute potency assays (e.g. ELISA, SPR, CBA, enzyme assays) for method establishment, pre-validation, and sample testing.
Prepare buffers, perform data analysis, and ensure testing is carried out according to draft SOPs.
Document all lab work according to Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) and ISO standards.
Support non-GMP drug product batch release, formulation, and stability testing.
Review and approve peer-performed tasks such as buffer preparation and equipment calibration.
Draft method SOPs, pre-validation protocols, and assay establishment reports.
Drive troubleshooting and investigations related to analytical methods and lab equipment.
Maintain a clean, audit-ready workspace in line with 6S and EHS standards.
Key requirements:
Apprenticeship, BSc, MSc, or equivalent experience in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of cumulative experience in a research or technical lab role within the pharmaceutical or biochemical industry.
Solid experience with scientific reporting, interpretation, and documentation.
Familiarity with lab systems such as Electronic Lab Notebook, LIMS, SoftMax Pro, PLA, DMS is a plus.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
