Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands – Permanent Position
Job Description
As a Junior Clinical Trial Manager, you will support the management and execution of clinical trials, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of study conduct. You will assist in coordinating study activities, managing timelines, budgets, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure trials are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
This role offers a strong development path for professionals transitioning from CRA, project management, or academic clinical research roles into clinical trial management.
Key Responsibilities
Support the setup and coordination of clinical studies, assisting with planning, timelines, and deliverables.
Serve as a contact point for internal teams and external collaborators, escalating issues as appropriate.
Assist in monitoring study progress, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Help supervise activities delegated to CROs, vendors, or national study groups under guidance from senior managers.
Review and maintain study documentation, essential documents, and study plans in compliance with ICH-GCP standards.
Contribute to regular study team meetings and provide updates on progress and potential risks.
Assist with study budget management, including budget tracking and requests for adjustments.
Support communication and coordination across all stakeholders to maintain smooth trial execution.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience as a CRA or in clinical trials; 1 year management experience preferred.
Alternatively, 4+ years of clinical research or project management experience in pharma or academia for transition to trial management.
University degree (BSc minimum).
Oncology experience desirable but not mandatory.
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
Able to work independently while integrating within a team and fostering collaborative relationships.

Additional Insights
Contract Type: Permanent (starting with 1-year contract followed by permanent)
