BAS / EMS Engineer (Contract)
Lead the end-to-end delivery of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS) for a major capital program within a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role owns the technical delivery, vendor governance, commissioning, and qualification readiness of BAS/EMS systems, ensuring full compliance with global engineering, quality, and cGMP standards.
Strong hands-on experience delivering BAS and EMS systems in regulated (cGMP) manufacturing environments.
Proven experience with Siemens Desigo CC (BAS architecture, PX controllers, graphics).
Proven experience with SIMATIC WinCC / WinCC Unified for EMS / SCADA / data acquisition.
End-to-end CAPEX project delivery experience, from early design through commissioning and qualification support.
Hands-on Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) experience, including on-site troubleshooting and fault finding.
Experience developing, reviewing, and governing SDLC and GMP documentation.
Strong understanding of automation networking, I/O, controls, and system architecture.
Ability to work on-site in Boxmeer as part of a project delivery team.
Functional understanding of HVAC and black utility control philosophies.
Experience working with EPCM partners and system vendors in large project environments.
Experience transitioning systems smoothly from commissioning into qualification activities.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of BAS and EMS packages from early design through commissioning, qualification support, and handover.
Act as the primary technical interface between site teams, EPCM partners, global engineering functions, and system vendors.
Drive vendors and contractors to deliver systems in line with global engineering standards, even where this conflicts with local/site norms.
Review and approve system architectures, control strategies, philosophies, and vendor design documentation.
Develop and execute the overall commissioning strategy, ensuring readiness for qualification and early escalation of risks.
Govern and maintain SDLC documentation, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Track progress using document trackers and schedules, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Ensure all BAS/EMS activities comply with cGMP, regulatory requirements, and global company policies.
