Lars grew up in Germany before spending five years in the United States, where he studied Sports Management on a football scholarship at the University of Colorado. After graduating, he spent a year in sales in Miami. When his US visa came to an end, he went looking for an international, fast-moving environment where his commercial instincts could translate into something more strategic - and that search led him to recruitment, and to Panda.
Recruitment suits the way Lars is wired. The competitiveness that carried him through college football, paired with a year of selling, now goes into understanding what clients actually need and finding the people who can deliver it. What he values most is the team around him: everyone arrives with a different story, but the drive is shared - energetic, competitive, and focused on results. No two days look alike, and there's always a new market, role, or conversation to learn from.
The move he's proudest of is a recent one - relocating to Amsterdam to build his recruitment career at Panda. After returning to Germany from the United States, he decided it was time to put himself in an uncomfortable situation again to keep growing. A new city, a new role, and new people are a lot to take on at once, but it's exactly the kind of challenge he goes looking for.
