We are currently collaborating with a leading biotech company based in Breda to find a Invoice & Supply Chain Specialist to strengthen their global distribution team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial tracking and efficient freight invoice processing within a regulated and fast-paced supply chain environment.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance or logistics, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive mindset to support both financial operations and process improvements across international supply chain functions.
Own and manage the complete freight invoice lifecycle, from receipt to approval via SAP workflow
Act as the primary point of contact for invoice disputes with freight and logistics service providers
Coordinate the annual Purchase Order (PO) process for distribution-related services
Maintain and enhance the freight invoice dashboard, supporting clear visibility and decision-making
Provide accurate financial data and reporting to support business case development across EU distribution hubs
Facilitate the data exchange between internal systems and the external freight auditing company
Support financial tracking of distribution budgets and ensure on-time payment of validated invoices
Conduct regular reviews and performance discussions with third-party supply chain partners
Collaborate with logistics managers and internal stakeholders to escalate and resolve issues
Develop and implement process improvement plans to increase efficiency and reduce errors
Maintain agreements and invoice verification processes with external providers
Manage orders for distribution-supporting materials at third-party logistics facilities
Accurate and timely PO generation aligned with the distribution budget
On-time invoice approvals and payments
Professional and efficient dispute resolution processes
Reliable KPI tracking and reporting to support operational transparency
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field
0–3 years of relevant experience, ideally in the biotech/pharma industry
Proficient in SAP and Business Warehouse (BW) tools
Advanced skills in MS Excel and a strong analytical mindset
Familiarity with the financial closing cycle
Excellent written and spoken English communication
Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive under pressure
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Basic knowledge of GMP/GDP guidelines
Exposure to Operational Excellence tools (e.g., Six Sigma, FMEA)
Experience drafting or maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Technical writing or documentation skills
Self-starter with a proactive mindset
