We are supporting a pioneering European biotech company in the search for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their supply chain operations team. This is a 6-month full-time contract based on-site in the Leiden region and offers the opportunity to play a central role in a GMP-regulated cell therapy manufacturing environment.

You’ll oversee daily kitting operations, manage material flows, and act as the main bridge between warehouse, planning, QC, and the kitting team – ensuring operational continuity, inspection readiness, and efficient kit delivery across multiple service centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Material & Inventory Coordination

  • Create/manage purchase orders (POs) and internal requests for kitting materials

  • Monitor stock levels, track deliveries, and ensure cold-chain compliance for QC aliquots

  • Perform SAP goods receipt, reservations, and order processing

Team Leadership

  • Lead daily Tier Board meetings and allocate tasks based on team strengths

  • Onboard, train, and coach new team members

  • Represent the kitting function in daily huddles, weekly planning, and shortage escalation forums

  • Act as backup to the Manager when needed

Operational Execution

  • Print kit labels, finalize batch records, and pick materials according to SOP

  • Execute full kitting process for internal service centers, ensuring quality and traceability

  • Troubleshoot SAP issues related to materials and kit configuration

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply and maintain 5S principles across kitting area

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Ensure full compliance with GMP, SOPs, and internal quality systems


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3–5 years in manufacturing, inventory, or supply chain operations in a GMP environment

  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing setting

  • Knowledge of 5S or Lean principles a plus
