A leading biotechnology company with operations across Europe and the U.S. is seeking a Senior Technician – Flow Cytometry to join its Analytical Development team on a 6-month consultancy assignment. The company focuses on high unmet medical needs, developing best-in-class small molecules, CAR-T therapies, and biologics in oncology and immunology. Project Scope
As a Senior Technician specialized in flow cytometry, you will play a pivotal role in the development of high-quality flow cytometric assays. With a proactive and hands-on approach, you will design, execute, and analyze experiments, while supporting the preparation of scientific reports. Collaborating closely with researchers and technicians, you will contribute to assay optimization and ensure these methods are fit-for-purpose to characterize efficacy, safety, and support release of CAR-T products for patient use. Your work directly impacts the success of innovative treatments in development.
Key Responsibilities
Assay Development & Execution
Perform a range of flow cytometric assays to assess safety and efficacy of therapeutic products.
Operate state-of-the-art flow cytometry instrumentation and support troubleshooting.
Contribute to the design, refinement, and optimization of robust and reproducible protocols.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Independently analyze and interpret flow cytometric data using appropriate software.
Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide input to scientific reports and data-driven decision-making.
Collaboration & Teamwork
Work closely with other researchers and technicians to advance analytical method development.
Share expertise and contribute to knowledge transfer within the team.
Requirements
Who are you?
Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or another relevant scientific discipline, with a preference for experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
Familiarity and hands-on experience (>2 years) with flow cytometry equipment, flow cytometry procedures, flow cytometric data analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
Ability to independently execute protocols and ensure accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results.
Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new techniques and technologies in the field.
Detail-oriented, pro-active team player, good communicator, and hands-on mentality.
Ability to be flexible with rapidly changing priorities.
Self-driven and can-do mindset, without compromising quality.
