Job Description:

Based in South Cambridge, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to next-generation therapeutics through advanced phage and mammalian display technologies, while mentoring junior scientists and driving innovation in biologic drug development.

You will be part of an expert team working at the forefront of antibody discovery and engineering, with access to cutting-edge technologies and a clear path to influence the therapeutic pipeline.

Essential Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent industry experience in Antibody Discovery, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on experience in antibody drug discovery, ideally within industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in antibody display technologies (phage and/or mammalian)
  • Proven skills in antibody library construction, optimisation, and screening
  • Strong molecular biology background, including DNA cloning and mammalian cell culture
  • Proficiency with in vitro assays such as ELISA, SPR, TDCC, and reporter assays
  • Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and FACS
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience mentoring or managing junior scientists
  • Track record of initiating or leading novel platform development projects
  • Experience presenting research to senior management or external partners
  • Familiarity with implementing innovative display or engineering technologies
