We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a mission-driven team pioneering image-guided navigation systems for next-generation medical devices. In this role, you’ll design and implement advanced ML algorithms that enable intelligent interpretation of medical imaging and autonomous decision-making—bringing cutting-edge perception capabilities into clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement ML-based perception algorithms for image classification, segmentation, object detection, and localization.
Develop navigation strategies using techniques such as imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and classical search or optimization methods.
Build scalable data collection and training pipelines for simulation-based validation and real-world deployment.
Collaborate cross-functionally with robotics and control engineers to integrate perception and navigation into the broader system stack.
Support algorithm deployment, testing, and iteration in both simulated environments and physical systems.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field (MSc/PhD preferred).
8+ years of industry experience.
Proven track record developing ML algorithms for visual perception using CNNs, vision transformers, or other deep learning architectures.
Experience with autonomous navigation techniques, including self-supervised and reinforcement learning.
Strong proficiency in Python and C++ and familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience deploying models in real-world or hardware-integrated systems.
