Logistics Quality Engineer
Quality & Logistics – Supply Chain
Role Summary
- Lead non-conformance (NC) investigations within logistics and distribution operations
- Drive CAPA definition, implementation, and timely closure
- Act as the key quality contact for cross-functional stakeholders
- Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of quality processes
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end NC investigations, including root-cause analysis and CAPA execution
- Define, prioritize, and track CAPAs to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready records in the QMS (e.g., Comet)
- Collaborate with Operations, QA, Global Planning, and Supplier Quality teams
- Monitor NC/CAPA performance, identify trends, and drive improvements
- Prepare investigation reports, risk assessments, and audit documentation
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring clear and timely responses
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and document control practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
- Proven experience with NC investigations and CAPA management
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to take ownership, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience working within a QMS and maintaining audit-ready documentation
- Solid problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, FMEA)
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain quality
- Knowledge of GMP or other regulated environments
- Experience with SAP, QMS/CAPA systems, or document management tools
- Dutch is plus, English Must
Practical Details
- Location: Leiden, Netherlands (on-site)
- Additional requirement: 1 day per week at Schiphol-Rijk warehouse
- Contract type: 6 months
- Start date: ASAP
