We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong engineering or technical background to lead cross-functional initiatives within a GxP-regulated biopharmaceutical environment. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle – from scoping and execution to closure and process handover – with a focus on strategic improvement, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.

Duration: 6 months (extension thereafter)

Project Initiation:
Define and align project scope, timelines, roles, stakeholders, risks, and budget. Prepare business cases and secure sponsor approval.
Execution & Delivery:
Lead and manage cross-functional teams across departments. Monitor progress, control scope, timelines, quality, and cost. Proactively manage risks and escalate where needed.
Governance & Reporting:
Report project status, risks, and milestones to sponsors and steering committees. Ensure clear stakeholder communication and alignment.
Closure & Handover:
Document results and lessons learned. Oversee formal handover to operations and ensure contract and documentation closure.
Coaching & Process Improvement:
Coach junior project leads and contribute to the improvement of internal project management methodologies. Advise senior management on strategic opportunities.
GxP Compliance:
Ensure adherence to existing and emerging GxP regulations. Participate in or advise on SOPs, deviations, and change control processes. Complete required GxP training.
Education: Master's degree (or HBO+ with significant experience) in Biotechnology, Chemical/Process Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
Experience: 8+ years in the pharmaceutical/biotech sector
4+ years in (strategic) project management
Proven experience in GxP-regulated environments
Certified in project management is preferred (e.g., Prince2 Practitioner, PMI PMP)
Key Skills:
Strong leadership and stakeholder management
Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
