Job Description

A global life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to develop technical concepts, advise internal “customers” on decision-making, and manage the execution of small- and medium-sized investment projects in a GMP environment. The role has direct impact on current production and business results and requires strong technical project management, engineering, and coordination capabilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for detail engineering, feasibility studies, process engineering calculations, plant optimisation, cost estimation, scheduling, and functionality. You will also support production adjustments and product launches, secure the necessary project funding, and coordinate internal and external engineering resources for medium-sized projects.

Essential Requirements
· 3–10 years of professional experience in a GMP environment
· Experience managing projects ranging from CHF 10K–200K
· Technical college or university degree required
· Preferred fields: Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering
· Demonstrated experience applying professional technical knowledge in daily work
· Experience with technical project management, including planning and realisation of small- and medium-sized investment projects
· Experience with process engineering calculations and plant optimisation
· Experience conducting feasibility studies for new plants and/or rebuilds of existing plants, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functionality
· Experience supporting production adjustments and product launches
· Ability to develop and evaluate technical solutions, including assessment of advantages and disadvantages
· Experience procuring and organising internal and external resources for project execution
· Strong communication skills
· Highly independent, structured, and flexible working style
· Excellent leadership skills within a matrix organisation
· Understanding of business and financial processes
· Advanced written and spoken English and German

· Experience coordinating internal and external engineering resources on medium-sized projects
· Strong solution-oriented approach
· Excellent comprehension and ability to understand complex technical and business contexts
· Highly motivated and proactive working style

Location: Visp, Switzerland
Contract Type: 1 year (with extensions)
Team: Coordinates internal and external supporting engineering resources for medium-sized projects
Leadership: Matrix leadership and coordination responsibilities
