We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join an innovative BioTech company in Boxmeer. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, troubleshooting, and deploying applications and systems on cloud computing environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and other public cloud platforms. This role demands expertise in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and hybrid computing environments.
You will work closely with the architecture team and Software Engineers to define and implement standards for designing, building, testing, and deploying cloud-based applications. Additionally, you will automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling processes, ensuring high availability, reliability, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and develop AVD and Intune profiles in line with business requirements.
Develop and manage cloud infrastructure and configurations as code using tools like Terraform
Build workload-specific infrastructure environments in Azure with a focus on high availability, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring
Maintain, monitor, and support platform services and environments to ensure performance and uptime
Diagnose and resolve complex systems, software, and connectivity issues
Automate processes through scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve cost efficiency and operational excellence
Integrate cloud solutions with other platforms and applications
Develop alerts, monitoring techniques, and health-check solutions to proactively address potential issues
Communicate incidents, resolutions, and updates to stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership
Ensure adherence to processes such as backups, maintenance schedules, and operational standards
Requirements
Hands-on experience with Intune.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure
Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform or similar technologies
Expertise in deploying and managing IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud environments
Strong scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar)
Experience with monitoring, diagnostics, and alerting tools
Understanding of best practices for disaster recovery, security, and high availability in cloud environments
