OT / Lab Systems Specialist – CGT Laboratory Systems | Geleen, NL

Job Description
A leading life sciences organisation is seeking an OT / Lab Systems Specialist to provide operational support for lab manufacturing systems within Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) laboratories. This role focuses on day-to-day lab system maintenance, IQ/OQ/PQ execution, troubleshooting, and ensuring GMP compliance and data integrity. The OT / Lab Systems Specialist will collaborate closely with lab users, OT, and IT teams to enable smooth lab operations and integration of lab instrumentation with software platforms such as Process Instrumentation (PI).

Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
· Strong understanding of GMP, lab data integrity, and regulatory compliance (including 21 CFR Part 11 where applicable)
· Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and lab software applications (Windows 7–11, standalone C applications)
· Experience executing IQ/OQ/PQ protocols (writing protocols not required)
· Strong troubleshooting skills, able to resolve 70–80% of lab system issues independently
· Familiarity with lab systems integration, networking, and system connectivity (PI, HPLC, or similar)
· Understanding of change management, deviations, and CAPA processes in lab environments
· Good technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
· Agility to adapt to evolving lab technologies and willingness to learn new systems
· Collaboration skills to work effectively with lab users, OT, and IT teams
· Customer focus to ensure system uptime and smooth lab operations

Preferred Requirements
· Optional exposure to small-scale manufacturing systems or OT equipment (PLC/SCADA knowledge beneficial)
· Familiarity with MES or additional lab software systems
· Prior experience in regulated CGT or similar life sciences environments
· Hands-on experience supporting lab instrumentation integration and PI or HPLC interfaces
