A global provider of technical services is seeking an Electrical Technician for a high-tech pharmaceutical production site in Haarlem. This facility produces and packages medicines and vaccines for worldwide distribution. In this role, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of electrical and control installations in a highly regulated cGMP environment at MSD Haarlem (employed by Sodexo).

Job Overview:

As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of a technical team responsible for the maintenance, operation, and inspection of electrical and control systems across the site. You will carry out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, register activities in the maintenance system, perform inspection rounds, and participate in on-call service rotations.

Your expertise will help ensure that lighting systems, distribution boards, emergency power, building management/control systems, and fire safety systems function safely and reliably to support pharmaceutical production.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance: 

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical/control installations, including lighting and emergency lighting, distribution boards, emergency power supplies/UPS, and building management/control systems (HVAC controls/BMS).

• Support resolution of technical malfunctions and document completed work in the maintenance system.

Inspections: 

• Conduct regular inspection rounds across plant areas.

• Work in compliance with all site safety rules and GMP requirements.

On-call:

• Collaborate with colleagues within the technical team and external partners as needed.

• Participate in an on-call duty rotation.

Essential: 

• MBO-level degree in Electrical Engineering, Control/Measurement & Control Technology, or Installation Technology.

• 1–3 years of experience with technical (building) installations.

• Willingness to obtain additional certifications as required.

• Strong command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).

• Accurate, solution-oriented, and safety-focused.

 

Offer:

• Full-time contract (40 hours per week).

• Salary: €2,700 – €5000 gross per month (depending on experience).
