Job Role: Material Management Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Material Management Specialist to lead raw material dual-sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply resiliency for biotherapeutic production. You will evaluate dual-sourcing needs, coordinate qualification and implementation projects, and serve as a key link between cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate introduction of alternative raw materials between planning, manufacturing, and technical teams.

• Define and implement material resiliency and dual-sourcing solutions.

• Lead project planning, execution, and change control documentation.

• Perform assessments with SMEs to confirm suitability of new materials.

• Maintain GMP records and manage related supply chain setup.

• Escalate risks affecting schedule or cost.

• Communicate with vendors and internal technical stakeholders.

• Stay updated on industry standards to drive process and supply chain improvements.

• Solid project management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English required; Dutch preferred).

• Effective cross-functional collaboration.

• Proactive, independent, and solution-oriented mindset.

Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Analytical (Bio)Chemistry, or related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical environment.

• Experience with GMP (preferred).

• Strong protein and/or excipient background.
