We are seeking a German Market Research Specialist (Contractor) to support market insight generation across current and future indications in the German market. This is a 6-month assignment (80% FTE) reporting into the Director of German Business Operations. You will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, and localizing market research (MR) initiatives, ensuring alignment with global objectives while tailoring output to meet the specific needs of the German market.
This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on market researcher with expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods, deep understanding of the German healthcare system, and the ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights. You’ll be joining a fast-paced environment during a period of pipeline expansion. so a passion for this environment is important.

This biotechnology company is focused on developing and delivering innovative antibody-based therapies for autoimmune diseases. With two indications already launched in Germany and an exciting pipeline of additional indications and geographies, the company is scaling its commercial operations across Europe. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team with a shared mission to improve patient outcomes and accelerate market understanding across therapeutic areas.
Role Scope:
Collaborate with global Market Research leads to manage global/regional projects for local market. This includes ensuring scope and screening criteria’s are aligned with local needs. Ensure project alignment with local teams and compliance and DPO
Ensure MR projects are aligned with PV and drug Safety
Execute local market research for insights generation in support of in-line and pipeline indications
Effectively manage multiple external vendor/partner relationships to ensure high quality and insightful deliverables to help manage the business
Lead the proposal, design and execution of local qualitative and quantitative market research initiatives to support existing and future assets
Analyze and interpret results from research in context of collective insights, prepare meaningful, timely reports and presentations for the local IST and leadership team
Seek opportunities to co-create with internal and external stakeholders in efforts to achieve insights excellence
Contribute to an innovative culture that strives for out-of-the-box thinking and creative approaches to commercial insights utilizing primary and secondary tools
Essential Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical market research, with a focus on the German healthcare market
Proven expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
Strong ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights that shape strategy
Demonstrated experience managing vendors and ensuring delivery of high-quality results
Skilled in working cross-functionally, especially with Medical, Commercial, and Global Market Research teams
Fluency in both German and English (must have)
Experience working with local compliance, DPO, PV, and regulatory teams in market research contexts
Desirable Requirements:
Prior experience supporting product launches or early commercial planning
Familiarity with autoimmune indications, especially in neurology (e.g. CIDP, Myasthenia Gravis)
Knowledge of patient and physician journey mapping in rare disease contexts
Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and co-create research solutions with internal and external teams
Comfort working in dynamic, fast-scaling environments with multiple indications launching in parallel
Experience using secondary data sources and working with pharma research agencies in the DACH region
