Global Strategic Sourcing Manager – Equipment

We are partnering with a leading international organisation to appoint a Global Strategic Sourcing Manager responsible for a strategically important portfolio of professional equipment.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role combining strategic sourcing, technical procurement, supplier strategy and total cost of ownership. You’ll shape the global category strategy over a 3–4 year horizon, with a strong European focus and growing North American scope.

The Role

• Define and execute the global sourcing and supplier strategy for professional equipment.

• Understand equipment and component cost structures to effectively challenge suppliers.

• Drive a TCO approach, considering purchase price, lifecycle, maintenance, service and spare parts.

• Lead strategic supplier negotiations and develop new commercial models.

• Identify opportunities across supplier consolidation, alternative component sourcing and service models.

• Build strategic supplier partnerships to support international growth.

• Partner closely with senior Operations and Commercial stakeholders while maintaining ownership of the procurement strategy.

Your Background

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong strategic sourcing/category management experience.

• Experience procuring technical products, equipment or electromechanical systems.

• Strong understanding of TCO, component costs, lifecycle and supplier economics.

• Experience independently developing and executing category strategies.

• Strong commercial negotiation and senior stakeholder management skills.

• An entrepreneurial, solutions-focused approach and confidence working with ambiguity.

Experience from professional equipment, appliances, medical devices, industrial systems or manufacturing would translate particularly well. A technical or engineering background is advantageous but not essential.
