Location: Eindhoven region, Netherlands (hybrid – minimum 3 days/week onsite)

Join a global multidisciplinary R&D team developing next-generation MRI systems for hospital/outpatient radiology. Design FPGA firmware for control and acquisition systems, collaborating with RF/analog/digital hardware, mechanical, system, manufacturing, and service engineers. Take products from concept through production.
Gather/define/write FPGA firmware requirements & test specifications from stakeholder input
Develop complete FPGA designs (requirements ? integration ? testing ? release)
Define FPGA I/O planning, clock/reset structures, external interfacing
Document requirements, specifications, design plans, reviews, test procedures/reports
BSc/MSc Electrical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent
5+ years VHDL/Verilog coding (regulated industry preferred: medical, aviation, automotive)
Full FPGA design cycle experience with high-speed digital/FPGA/CPLD
SystemVerilog/UVM verification in QuestaSim with code coverage analysis (HIL preferred)
DSP implementation: DDS, NCO, DDC, SDR functions
SoC FPGA architectures using hard/soft processors
Digital networking: high-speed serial links, Ethernet, RS232, USB
AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, Vivado tools, IP blocks
Static code analysis (Mentor linting), HW-SW interfaces, version control, CI/CD, regression testing
Experience in medical devices/healthcare technology
Outstanding English communication skills
