Director of Data Science

One of our clients in Biotech is looking for a Director of Data Science, in this role you will lead data science initiatives supporting clinical development, applying AI and advanced analytics. 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive data science strategy and AI adoption within clinical innovation programs.

• Identify and address data gaps to support trial design and execution.

• Evaluate and integrate internal/external data sources into platforms.

• Lead design and implementation of machine learning solutions for clinical operations.

• Collaborate across clinical teams, precision medicine, regulatory, and analytics functions.

• Enhance data and AI literacy across the organization through training and engagement.

• Ensure compliance with internal standards, GCP, and regulatory requirements.

• Scout and assess emerging data science and AI technologies for clinical use.

Qualifications

• PhD (required), Postdoc (preferred) in Data Science, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in clinical research or drug development (industry or academic).

• 5+ years leading large-scale data science initiatives in pharma, biotech, or CRO settings.

• Deep understanding of GCP, trial design, biostatistics, and regulatory frameworks.

Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
