Bioinformatics Engineer

One of our biotech partners is looking for a Bioinformatics Engineer to support the development of innovative diagnostics in oncology. This is a chance to join a growing bioinformatics team working on cutting-edge technologies in liquid biopsy and genomic data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement bioinformatics algorithms for analyzing cell-free DNA, supporting diagnostic applications in oncology.

• Design and optimize data pipelines for large-scale genomic data to deliver accurate, production-level tumor profiling results.

• Build and maintain data management tools to ensure datasets meet F.A.I.R principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).

• Automate processes for assay development and validation to enhance standardization and efficiency.

• Review data generated in clinical or field settings to ensure algorithm performance and reliability.

• Define and implement data schemas and workflows for handling unstructured genomic and clinical data.

• Stay current with the latest literature to assess biomarker significance and evaluate competing approaches.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 3 years of experience working with genomic data and bioinformatics tools.

• Proficiency in Python and C++, with a solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software development.

• Experience designing genomic pipelines and working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar).

• Strong interest in healthcare innovation and advancing diagnostics in oncology.
