This role focuses on the development and validation of analytical methods within an R&D environment operating under GMP standards. The position involves designing, developing, and validating analytical methods, primarily using liquid chromatography, from early-stage development through to validation and lifecycle support. The candidate will work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality scientific data. The role is predominantly lab-based and requires strong technical autonomy.
• Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within R&D, analytical development, or manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with liquid chromatography method development
• Experience in analytical method validation
• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
• Experience developing and validating analytical methods end-to-end (development through validation report)
• Experience writing scientific documentation (protocols, reports, procedures, laboratory notebooks)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to analytical methods (e.g. ICH guidelines)
• Experience working in laboratory-based roles
• Experience with analytical method transfer or co-validation across laboratories
• Knowledge of analytical lifecycle management and comparability studies
• Experience with statistical approaches in method development (e.g. QbD, DoE)
• Familiarity with ICH Q14 or advanced analytical development strategies
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (QA, Regulatory Affairs, Process Development)
• Experience investigating OOS, deviations, or analytical issues
• Exposure to Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies
• Basic project management experience
• Experience working with external labs or suppliers
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
