We are looking for an experienced AI Development Manager to lead the design and delivery of advanced AI solutions for a leading life sciences consultancy. In this role, you will architect scalable, cloud-native AI systems, guide high-performing project teams of developers, and work directly with clients to deliver impactful, production-grade solutions that go far beyond conversational interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and lead scalable AI solution architectures using Microsoft Azure and other modern platforms.
Develop and deploy AI systems that include vector databases, large language models (LLMs), and data processing pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
Establish internal AI development frameworks to support innovation, delivery efficiency, and operational scalability.
Manage and mentor cross-functional project teams, fostering growth, ownership, and technical excellence.
Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to translate business challenges into robust, AI-powered technical solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in AI/ML architecture.
Strong background in Azure, including Azure ML, OpenAI services, and scalable cloud architectures.
Proven experience in leading development teams and managing the full software development lifecycle.
Deep understanding of modern AI practices, such as LLM deployment, vector search, prompt engineering, and cognitive services.
Experience working in consulting or client delivery settings, ideally within regulated industries like life sciences or healthcare.
Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term AI strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and impactful solutions.
