After his time at Volvo, Baha shifted his focus to the life sciences sector, joining Roche Diagnostics in Berlin as a Case Investigation and Resolution Engineer. In this role, he worked on Roche’s Laboratory Informatics System (LIS), contributing to projects that directly impacted patients—a cause close to his heart as a Type 1 diabetic who had used Roche's glucometer for years.

This experience at Roche opened doors to his next role at Abbott Diagnostics in Amsterdam, where he spent nearly three years as a Technical Support Specialist. He was deeply involved in supporting hospitals and labs across Europe, as well as contributing to innovative projects like developing a deep learning algorithm for blood sugar analysis with Abbotts Diabetes Care Division in San Francisco.

Baha's career then took him to Copenhagen, where he joined Genmab as a Senior Associate Engineer in Lab Application Management. This experience paved the way for his current position as a Senior Laboratory Informatics Specialist at Johnson & Johnson in Leiden. Here, he plays a key role in the digital transformation initiatives within the Bacterial Vaccines Department.

In his current role, Baha is responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing various laboratory informatics systems, including ELN, Genedata Biologics, and LabVantage ELN/LIMS. He also acts as a liaison between scientists, IT departments, and external providers, ensuring that digital transformation projects are executed smoothly and efficiently.
