Production Scheduler – Site Supply Chain | Production Planning
Job Description
A global pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Production Scheduler – Site Supply Chain to proactively maintain, communicate, and continuously improve short-term production schedules. This role is responsible for ensuring schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with labour, asset capacity, and material availability, enabling effective short-term execution of production plans.
You will work closely with Procurement, Production & Development, and Supply Planning teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, optimise production sequencing, and ensure efficient utilisation of facilities, equipment, staff, and materials. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will also generate KPIs and operational metrics to support continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
Essential Requirements
· Proven experience creating, tracking, and maintaining short-term production schedules
· Ability to incorporate cross-functional input to ensure schedules are realistic and aligned with current constraints
· Experience optimising production schedules by balancing demand priorities with efficient resource utilisation
· Ability to drive timely resolution of scheduling conflicts with relevant stakeholders
· Experience maintaining planning and scheduling parameters within planning systems
· Ability to generate KPIs and operational measures to identify trends and support root-cause analysis
· Experience maintaining accurate production schedules and providing data for MRP processes
· Ability to review production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and material requirements
· Experience monitoring production data (volumes, material consumption, quality metrics) to support continuous improvement initiatives
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to define metrics and identify issues through root-cause analysis
· Ability to influence Supply Chain and functional leaders to support production optimisation recommendations
· Competence using production scheduling systems
· Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to utilise Business Intelligence systems to extract data and generate reports
· Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day instruction
· Fluent professional English
Preferred Requirements
· German language skills
· Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
