Junior Support Engineer
This role involves supporting the shop floor in the European distribution and packaging areas located in Breda. The successful candidate will work with qualified Building Management Systems such as Desigo CC, Zebra and Printronix printers and scanners, and will support the implementation of new Manufacturing Technology solutions, including Industrial Internet of Things and Generative AI solutions.
The ideal candidate has a strong affinity with pharmaceutical labelling, packaging, IT, and operations technology, and demonstrates strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of new technology solutions to improve manufacturing reliability and efficiency.
- Support operating system and application patching or update activities on the shopfloor.
- Deliver IT equipment to end users, Production, and Warehouse teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot technology systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Document and train staff on new technology processes and systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in technology to support the manufacturing business.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset to optimize processes and systems.
Required Qualifications
- HBO/bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 0-3 years of experience in information technology within a manufacturing company, information technology, or operations technology environment.
- Understanding of IT application management and ITIL with hands-on mentality.
- Knowledge of GxP, GDP, distribution, and packaging is highly recommended.
Technical Skills
- System integration: Ability to integrate various systems and ensure seamless operation.
- Troubleshooting: Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting systems, with abstract and logical thinking skills.
- Documentation: Skilled in creating detailed documentation and training materials.
