HVAC Project Engineer | CAPEX Projects | Visp, Switzerland
Job Description
A global life sciences organisation is seeking an experienced
HVAC Engineer to support capital projects at its Visp site, focusing on
HVAC system design, technical oversight, and project execution.
You will coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage contractors and vendors, participate in
3D design reviews, and oversee
commissioning, testing, and system handover. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or industrial manufacturing is relevant, particularly knowledge of
GMP and cleanroom environments.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
· Approximately
5–10 years of engineering, project execution, or operational experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or related industries
· Extensive experience with
HVAC systems, including relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
· Technical expertise in
HVAC systems and infrastructure
· Knowledge of applicable
codes, regulations, and industry standards
· Experience defining and implementing
HVAC concepts and requirements for capital projects
· Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities and resolving technical issues
· Strong
contractor and vendor management capabilities
· Experience delivering projects in line with
cost, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements
· Experience with
3D design reviews, commissioning, functional testing, system acceptance, and handover
· Ability to review and manage
as-built documentation and transfer systems to operations and end users
·
Business-fluent German (required)
· Structured, detail-oriented working style and ability to work independently in complex, multidisciplinary environments
· Strong communication and collaboration skills in German and English
Preferred Requirements
· Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or industrial manufacturing
· Knowledge of
GMP and cleanroom environments
· Familiarity with
Lonza’s internal guidelines
· Basic to intermediate English proficiency
· French language skills
· Experience coordinating with engineering partners, EHS, fire protection specialists, and other technical stakeholders
· Flexibility to support additional
CAPEX engineering activities

Working Arrangement: 100% on-site
Contract Type: 1 year with extensions
