Job Description

A global life sciences organisation is seeking a DeltaV Engineer to design, develop, and implement Emerson DeltaV automation solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech CAPEX projects. The role focuses on DeltaV configuration, process control, automation architecture, GxP documentation, and system integration.

You will configure DeltaV control modules, equipment modules, phases, recipes, graphics, alarms, and system interfaces, while supporting documentation, validation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and collaboration with process, engineering, IT/OT, validation, and operations teams.

Essential Requirements

· Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
· Experience with Emerson DeltaV automation systems within pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or industrial manufacturing environments
· Understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation architectures
· Experience with DeltaV configuration and system administration
· Experience configuring control modules, equipment modules, phases, recipes, graphics, alarms, and system interfaces
· Experience developing and maintaining GxP documentation, including functional specifications, design specifications, test protocols, and validation records
· Experience working within GMP-regulated environments and supporting validation activities
· Understanding of GMP, GAMP, and data integrity requirements
· Familiarity with computerized system validation (CSV)
· Experience with system integration, networking, and industrial communication protocols
· Ability to troubleshoot automation, hardware, software, and communication issues
· Understanding of root cause analysis for automation systems
· German and/or English required

Preferred Requirements

· Familiarity with CAPEX project execution and commissioning processes
· Experience with system architecture design, hardware configuration, network integration, and third-party system interfaces
· Experience supporting startup, handover, and operational phases of projects
· Experience with change control, deviation investigations, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
· Experience collaborating with process, engineering, IT/OT, validation, and operations teams
