Senior Scientist 

For a high-profile Cell Therapy CMO, I am seeking a talented Senior Scientist to join a highly motivated and fast-growing team.

In this role you will be responsible for the successful evaluation, development, and optimization of cryopreservation processes for starting material of both autologous and allogeneic cellular therapies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, execute and analyze key experimental studies on cryopreservation processes for internal and customer projects, including reporting  protocols, technical and scientific reports
  • Generate scientific proposals to resolve key technical hurdles
  • Assess and identify cryopreservation Critical Process Parameters (CPPs)
  • Establish analytical approaches to employ during formulation screening, including but not limited to cell health, membrane integrity assays, molecular mechanism indicator assays, cell-specific functional assays, etc.
  • Lead or assist in presenting information at internal or external meetings
  • Assist in client interactions to understand their objectives and meet their needs.
  • Interact and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary departments (Process Development, Analytical Development, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Regulatory, Business, etc)


PROFILE

  • PhD in Biology, Bioengineering, or Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines with min 1 year experience in Cell Therapy Industry
  • Industry experience is a must 
  • Strong experience in data management
  • Demonstrated exceptional scientific research skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in Flow cytometry, cell selection and cell purification
  • Experience in cryopreservation and cell culture and cellular assays (viability, functionality, …)
  • Strong understanding of cell biology
  • Experience with Quality Management System standards and systems
  • Clearly communication of results to stakeholders (written and oral presentation skills)
  • Works effectively in cross functional teams and projects
  • Fluent in English.
