R&D Product Engineer – Optical Spectroscopy - Amsterdam
To support our Research & Development department, we are looking for a Product Developer. Since the launch of our Raman product, there has been significant market interest. We are seeking a Product Developer to assist in developing new applications for this product, designing, and testing algorithms, creating, and testing new options, and helping to further enhance the product to achieve an even better price-to-quality ratio.

This company is a leading internationally operating company specializing in the development, supply, and maintenance of online measurement equipment. Our primary clients are in the process industry, where our equipment is primarily used to optimize existing processes, map and reduce emissions, and apply biogas and/or hydrogen as a substitute for natural gas. We are a growing internationally oriented company with locations in the Netherlands (headquarters), the United States, and Hungary.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Translating customer requirements into specifications or functional descriptions
  • Managing significant investments after approval by the management team
  • Creating action plans for proposed improvements
  • Collaborating with R&D colleagues, software engineers, service, and engineering to develop and implement proposed improvements
  • Developing test setups and conducting tests for demonstrations or proof-of-concept
  • Translating conceptual ideas into software specifications
  • Contributing and developing ideas for product enhancements (technology push)
  • Collaborating with Sales to gather potential customer needs and product ideas
  • Conducting and/or overseeing beta testing



What can you bring?
You have extensive experience in Research and Development (at least 3 years). A degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or related fields at the WO or PhD level. Demonstrated experience with optical (laser) spectroscopy, preferably Raman.
