In collaboration with a major bio-pharmaceutical CDMO in Visp, Switzerland, we are currently looking for a production planning expert.

Your Tasks

  • Operations Planning: Responsible for the operations planning (shop floor scheduling) for the large-scale mammalian Manufacturing Complex 2, which features a 6 x 20kL production bioreactor facility.

  • Integrated Plan Development: Create an integrated plan to coordinate all operational activities within Manufacturing Complex 2, covering short-term day-to-day operations on the shop floor and input to the master production schedule related to capacity.

  • Coordination and Planning: Coordinate and plan tasks and requirements across different areas, including Procurement Planning, Manufacturing Complex 2 Leadership Team and Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering, Global Engineering, and Lonza Services.

  • Summary Production Schedule: Develop and manage the Summary Production Schedule (SPS), which is driven by Supply Chain Demand Planning and the Master Production Schedule (MPS).

  • Detailed Plans Development: Formulate detailed plans for production planning, maintenance planning, resource planning, and availability of plant and equipment.

  • Strategic Development: Proactively develop strategies to anticipate or counteract potential future supply bottlenecks.

  • Planning Accuracy Improvement: Actively develop measures to improve planning accuracy through process and system optimizations.

  • Scheduling Tool/System Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and ensure training/compliance on the scheduling tool/system and its use in executing operations in the facility.

  • Planning Strategy Development: Formulate the planning strategy for Manufacturing Complex 2 Operations.

Your Profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain or biotechnology or corresponding training qualification.

  • Professional Experience:

    • 5-10 years of experience in a production environment (GMP).

    • Experience on the shop floor in a biologics operation is a distinct advantage.

  • Language Skills:

    • Business fluent in English.

    • German language skills are an advantage.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Expert knowledge of SAP ERP/MRP and MES systems such as Syncade.

    • Proficiency in creating an integrated schedule in planning software such as Orchestrate, Schedule Pro, or Aspen Planning is a distinct advantage.

    • Proficient knowledge of Office programs, especially MS Project.

    • Scheduling/Capacity Optimization: Experience with scheduling/capacity optimization programs is desirable.

Industry Experience: Several years of experience in supply planning within pharmaceuticals or biotechnology is an advantage.
