We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in assembly processes to join an ambitious and dynamic team. You will be part of the Production Engineering department within our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Drachten, the Netherlands!
Responsibilities
You will drive Operational Excellence where problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership result in continuous improvement within the Philips organization.
Focus on the customers' needs, keep employees positive and empowered, and continually improve current activities in the workplace.
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment, enabling the Operations department to achieve its goals and satisfy customer needs.
Contribute to the factory of the future by continuously improving processes and extending capabilities with innovative new methods.
Transfer new products to the factory for mass production, developing efficient manufacturing processes while considering all possible risks.
Collaborate effectively with the Site Manufacturing Engineering team and other stakeholders within the organization.
Diagnose equipment failures, collect data to identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions
Your Profile
You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
You are eager to learn more about current assembly processes and understand all that is needed to run and improve production.
You have the capability to transform knowledge into practical actions.
You possess strong root cause analysis skills.
You are experienced in problem-solving and project management, especially in multi-disciplinary teams.
You are capable of leading a team and have good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Improvement techniques is an advantage.

Duration: 1-year contract – with the likelihood of extension
