For my client – a globally renowned biotech company in Neuchâtel, Switzerland – I am seeking an experienced MPS Supply Planner join a dynamic and fast-paced team.
As the Supply Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed production plan for various manufacturing steps, ensuring a balance between plant capacity, efficiency, shipment, and logistics.
Main Responsibilities:
70% Planning:
Develop a detailed production plan for steps such as Bulk, Fill, and Finishing at daily or weekly intervals in alignment with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and/or allocation plan.
Review MPS with production teams, propose adjustments, and communicate the final production plan to manufacturing operations.
Issue and maintain work orders in the ERP system.
Coordinate with the logistics team for timely product shipments between plants, CMOs, and warehouses.
Validate production and/or shipment plans with Quality release for releases outside of the normal release cycle.
Participate in Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and support clinical product introduction and product launches.
Manage special packaging requests, bulk packs, and clinical or stability requests.
20% Metrics Analysis/Reporting:
Collect, analyze, and report on key supply chain metrics such as MPS adherence, lead times, and inventory levels.
Communicate plant capacity issues and new production introductions.
Reconcile and maintain inventory levels to meet business needs.
Report deviations from committed timelines and flag any raw material limitations.
10% Business Excellence/Change Management:
Lead continuous improvement projects within the supply chain value stream.
Participate in daily tier meetings and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work with MPS/global supply analysts and manufacturing teams to finalize production plans, addressing issues that prevent the execution of MPS.
Report deviations from timelines and raw material/component shortages.
Review metrics and take corrective actions, escalating unresolved issues to the next level.
Address issues related to raw material or component shortages and escalate them as necessary.
Education and Experience Requirements:
B.A./B.Sc. in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
0-3 years of technical operations experience (junior level) or 4+ years (senior level) in supply chain or related fields.
3-5+ years of experience in ERP systems (senior level).
Desired:
Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
APICS CSCP or CPIM certification preferred.
Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in French and English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with strong ERP knowledge.
Familiarity with cGMP environments, particularly in biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing (senior level).
