Job Description:

Be a part of a purpose-driven pharmaceutical company committed to improving lives through sustainable manufacturing. As a Fermentation Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing fermentation processes for the production of APIs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of scalable fermentation processes for the production of intermediates and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fermentation processes into drug development pipelines.
  • Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and technicians.
  • Plan and manage projects, ensuring timely achievement of key milestones.
  • Evaluate process safety, efficiency, and quality, ensuring scale-up readiness.
  • Work closely with technology transfer teams to implement fermentation processes at manufacturing sites.
  • Stay abreast of developments in fermentation technologies and benchmark them against industry standards.
  • Ensure all processes comply with GMP, ICH guidelines, and safety regulations.
  • Act as a liaison with external partners, CROs, and collaborators to drive innovation in fermentation technologies.

Key Requirements:
  • PhD or Master’s degree in fermentation, microbiology, bioprocess engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fermentation process development within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven expertise in scaling up fermentation processes and technology transfer.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication and influencing skills.
