Job Description:
Be a part of a purpose-driven pharmaceutical company committed to improving lives through sustainable manufacturing. As a Fermentation Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing fermentation processes for the production of APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of scalable fermentation processes for the production of intermediates and APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fermentation processes into drug development pipelines.
Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists and technicians.
Plan and manage projects, ensuring timely achievement of key milestones.
Evaluate process safety, efficiency, and quality, ensuring scale-up readiness.
Work closely with technology transfer teams to implement fermentation processes at manufacturing sites.
Stay abreast of developments in fermentation technologies and benchmark them against industry standards.
Ensure all processes comply with GMP, ICH guidelines, and safety regulations.
Act as a liaison with external partners, CROs, and collaborators to drive innovation in fermentation technologies.
Key Requirements:
PhD or Master’s degree in fermentation, microbiology, bioprocess engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in fermentation process development within the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven expertise in scaling up fermentation processes and technology transfer.
In-depth knowledge of GMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Strong project management and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
Fluent in English, with strong communication and influencing skills.
