In this role you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing data systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of large datasets crucial for genetic research and development. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making, playing a pivotal role in advancing our client's mission in the genetics field.
- Design and construct robust data architecture to support advanced genetic research.
- Implement data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow and integration.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, guaranteeing data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and biotechnicians, providing data solutions that enhance research outcomes.
- Uphold compliance with GDPR and other data integrity standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data engineering within the Life Sciences or Genetics sector.
- Proficiency in database management, SQL, and data pipeline tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
