For one of our biotech clients in the Breda area I am looking for Trade Compliance Specialist. I am looking for a junior-mid senior person with a few years of experience that is ready to kick start his career in this challenging position! The first contract will be 1 year, however the company is looking for someone for a longer period!

For one of our biotech clients in the Breda area I am looking for Trade Compliance Specialist. I am looking for a junior-mid senior person with a few years of experience that is ready to kick start his career in this challenging position! The first contract will be 1 year, however the company is looking for someone for a longer period!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be responsible for the integration of policy and executional activities for all imports and exports
  • You provide program oversight for trade compliance establish controls and global standards for regional execution 
  • You partner internally and externally to manage inbound/outbound shipments by liaising with third parties
  • You provide expertise, consult and advise on international Customs and Other Government Agency (OGA) import/export requirements
  • You determine commodity classification for shipments
  • You prepare and review shipping documentation and customs invoices for accuracy including valuation, commodity classification, and country of origin
  • You provide support for obtaining applicable shipment permits and licenses
  • You resolve shipment issues including response to Customs/OGA inquiries and delays

PROFILE

  • PhD in Business Administration, Science, Biology or a related field
  • OR Master’s degree and 3 years of Supply Chain experience
  • OR Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Supply Chain experience
  • Customs Broker License preferred
  • Understanding of International Customs and World Trade Organization Regulations preferred
  • Versed in key import/export processes including valuation, commodity classification, country of origin determination
  • Import/export compliance and relationships with industry peers for benchmarking and to share best practices
  • Ability to effectively navigate through ambiguity to resolve issues
  • Knowledge and understanding of GMP regulations and GDP requirements
  • Self-starter with the ability to take on several projects at one time
  • Experience or education in international trade law
