To strengthen our dynamic team we are looking for a Project Manager Preclinical Biotherapeutics with a feel for the development of novel biotherapeutics based on mRNA.
The project manager is responsible for developing and updating the strategic and operational project plan to support the team and our portfolio management. Together with the project team you will develop a complete overview of work packages, monitor critical milestones and the required budget. The project manager will be appointed to one or more projects depending on the stage of the project and will be reporting to the VP translational development.
You are the primary point of contact for the project team with respect to the overall timelines
You coach and support the team in achieving their goals
You initiate, follow up and monitor the planning file for one or more projects and analyse the critical path to adhere to timelines, budget and quality standards
You ensure good flow of information between the different departments and facilitate meetings to discuss progress and resolve issues
Where applicable you assist in the reporting that may be required for projects receiving government support
You assist in the setup of a resource (FTE) management structure and the attribution of resource requirements to required work packages
Ensure the project strategy is reflected in terms of cost in the dedicated budget and forecast systems
PhD degree in a scientific or (bio)-engineering discipline
Min of 3 year experience in a biotech company or pharmaceutical company preferably in project management of project leader position
Experience with working in a matrix structure and excellent organisational and prioritising skills
Hands on experience with the design, setup and management of preclinical work packages is highly preferable
Analytical, synthesis and reporting skills
Strong computer skills, MS office including MS Project, experience with an accounting system would be a plus
Work effectively, accurately and autonomously
Exercising judgement, impact of decisions and consequence of error
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Good interpersonal skills, team player
Ability to work within cross functional teams
Well organised, well-structured, hands-on, result oriented
