Associate Scientist - Preclinical Immunology

For one of the leading pharmaceutical companies, we are looking for an associate Scientist – Preclinical Immunology. You will join the Bacterial Vaccines department in the Preclinical Immunology team. As an associate scientist you will support the Bacterial Vaccines project teams by working on the development of vaccines against E. coli and S. aureus infection. You will evaluate the immunogenicity and efficacy of vaccine candidates in in vitro and in vivo models. The role requests hands-on experience with in vivo mouse models. This includes general mouse handling, performing immunizations, and blood and tissue collections. Furthermore, you should have knowledge of immunological techniques such as ELISA, killing assays, B- and T-cell ELISpot, T cell proliferation assays, cytokine release assays, multiparameter flow cytometry and cell culturing. Your work will also include sample preparation, analysis, sample management and data processing.

Your Profile
- BASc, BSc or MSc degree in biological/medical sciences with strong immunology/bacteriology background.
- Requires 2-4 Years Work Experience
- Certified Animal experiments (art. 6, 9 or 13, or comparable).
- 2 years of relevant (internship) experience in Life Science/Biology
- Hands-on experience with in vivo mouse models.
- Experience and/or affinity with the following techniques: ELISA, killing assays, flow cytometry, cell culture.
- Affinity with MS Office, databases, sample management.
- Language skills: fluent in English. Dutch optional
