Chapter Lead Data & BI

This role sits within a central IT function responsible for building and maintaining a modern data platform that supports business-wide decision-making. The team operates in an Agile environment, delivering data and BI solutions across multiple domains.

You will lead a team of data and BI professionals while remaining hands-on within cross-functional squads. The role combines people leadership, data engineering, and business intelligence responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of scalable data pipelines, high-quality datasets, and impactful reporting solutions.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or data architecture
• Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Solid understanding of modern data platforms (Data Lake, Lakehouse, Medallion architecture, Kimball modeling)
• Experience with data modeling, data structures, and data quality practices

Preferred Requirements

• Experience leading or coaching technical teams
• Strong knowledge of BI tools, particularly Power BI
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure)
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working
• Understanding of governance, security, and data platform standards
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
